Phaiocalanthe Kryptonite 'Chariots of Fire' is a hybrid between Phaius Tankervilleae and Calanthe Roezel. It blooms in winter and spring with upright spikes of many maroon-red flowers that resemble Cattleya flowers in general shape. It has a cute funnel-like lip, which gives a classy look to the plant. The pseudobulbs are oval-shaped, topped by a delicate, broad, fan-shaped leaf.
