Schomburgkia Thomsoniana also called a Banana orchid, is a species found in the Cayman Islands sister Isles' as a small-sized, hot growing epiphyte in scrubby bushes close to the sea. Flowers normally appear in summer. As the new pseudobulb grows ahead and extends the plants, the trailing structure or back bulbs can die behind, slowly migrating along the tree trunk or branch.
