Cattleya Mossiae is a natural epiphytic orchid species native to Venezuela, developing sturdy bifoliate pseudobulbs topped with broad leathery leaves. Its spectacular 15–18 cm fragrant blooms display soft lavender to pink petals surrounding a richly ruffled lip marked with yellow and deep magenta. Blooming in spring, it performs best in bright, warm to intermediate conditions and remains one of the finest classic species Cattleyas.
