The Phalaenopsis Tinkerbell is a charming hybrid orchid, registered in 1975, that belongs to the popular genus commonly known as Moth Orchids. This cultivar is the result of crossing Phalaenopsis Ministripes with Phalaenopsis Fiery, and its genetic lineage includes notable species like Phalaenopsis equestris and Phalaenopsis amabilis. While specific flower characteristics can vary, related hybrids often feature captivating, multi-toned flowers with shades of red, purple-red, or brown-red petals contrasted by a prominent white or patterned lip, contributing to a striking visual display. Like many Phalaenopsis hybrids, it is favored by growers for being relatively easy to cultivate indoors, thriving as a monopodial epiphyte with broad, dark green, lanceolate leaves borne on a short stem.
