Paphiopedilum Stonei is also called Stone's Paphiopedilum. It is a large, multiflowered species. The plant typically grows to be about 20–40 cm tall, with a single stem and a rosette of leaves at the base. The leaves are thick and leathery and can range in colour from light to dark green, which blooms in the summer. The flowers are large and showy and can grow up to 15 cm in diameter. They are typically a pale green colour, with bold stripes of dark green and maroon or burgundy. The lip of the flower is pouch-shaped and maroon in colour, with white hairs on the edges.
