Renanthera Monachica comes from Luzon in the Philippines, below 500 m, and carries 6 to 30 orange flowers spotted with red on sprays up to 45 cm long in late winter and spring. The 2.5 to 4 cm flowers last well on the plant and have no scent; the plant climbs on a leafy, Vanda-like stem.
You receive a blooming-size plant in a 7 cm pot of sphagnum moss, sent without flowers, spikes or buds; our photos show the species in flower. Best for warm, humid gardens where it can grow in a slatted basket.
