Paphiopedilum Wardii is a small-sized, cool growing terrestrial with 3 to 5, oblong-lanceolate, dark blue-green-motttled paler on top and mottled purple underneath leaves that blooms in the mid-winter to early spring on an erect, long, terminal inflorescence with lanceolate, ciliate, green flushed purple, less than half as long as the ovary floral bracts carrying a single glossy flower.
