Phalaenopsis Gigantea, the Gigantic Phalaenopsis of lowland Borneo, is named for its large, hanging leaves. Its pendant sprays of 15 to 40 cm carry many waxy flowers 3.75 to 7 cm across with a sweet, citrus-peel scent, mostly in late summer and early autumn; this alba form is yellow-green without the usual brown spotting.
You receive a blooming-size plant in an 8 cm pot of sphagnum moss, sent without flowers, spikes or buds; our photos show the form in flower. Best for patient collectors with warmth and humidity, and room for the leaves to hang.
