Phalaenopsis Lobbii, also known as Lobb's Phalaenopsis, is a charming miniature orchid species native to the eastern Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It is highly sought after by collectors for its compact size and unique, intricate flowers. The small, white or cream-colored flowers have a distinctive, hinged lip with prominent brown or caramel-colored stripes, which can give them an "owl-face" appearance. This epiphytic orchid often sheds its leaves during its winter rest period, producing short inflorescences with sequentially opening, star-shaped flowers that are best grown on a mount or in a small pot with excellent drainage.
