Vanda Denisoniana, also known as Lady Denison Londesborough's Vanda, is a magnificent epiphytic orchid species native to the high-altitude forests of Southeast Asia, including Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. This is a robust, large-growing monopodial orchid characterized by long, rigid stems covered with stiff, leathery, strap-shaped leaves and a spectacular, large aerial root system. The plant produces short, axillary inflorescences, typically bearing four to six large, incredibly waxy, and long-lasting flowers, blooming primarily in late winter and spring. The species is highly prized not only for its beautiful appearance but for its notable and intense vanilla-like fragrance, which is often strongest in the early evening.
