Zygopetalum Jumpin Jack crosses Zygopetalum Skippy Ku with Zygopetalum Artur Elle, and was registered by R. Murray in 1996. A third of its ancestry is Zygopetalum intermedium, a fragrant species of Peru, Bolivia and Brazil that grows at about 2,100 m, and our photos show the hybrid's green flowers blotched with maroon around a broad violet lip. Best for growers in hill towns or with intermediate winter nights who want a scented orchid.
